  • What to do if you have blocked drains?

If the water starts draining slowly then more plunging is required. If the water drains quickly then you’ve fixed the blockage. If nothing happens then try pouring a small amount of baking soda down the plughole, followed by a cup of white vinegar.

  • How can I unblock my drains myself?

Try these methods on your kitchen sink, bath or shower if water doesn’t appear to be draining properly:
    1. Insert the plug, fill up your sink or bath with hot water and release it.
    2. Use a drain plunger.
    3. Pour down a mix of baking powder and vinegar, followed by hot water.
    4. Use a drain snake or unbent wire coat hanger.
  • How do you know your main drain is clogged?

If more than one drain is slow moving, smells bad or water is backing up, its possible you have a main sewer clog.

  • How do you unblock a bath?

    Baking Soda and vinegar
    1. Pour a pot of boiling water down the drain.
    2. Pour half a cup of baking soda down the drain. Let it settle for a few minutes.
    3. Follow up with a cup of white vinegar and a little more hot water.
    4. Leave for 5-10 minutes.
    5. Flush with boiling water.
